Friends rock my world...
Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah,
So a lot has gone down in the past couple of days/weeks and its really been mentally, spiritually, and physically draining. In moments like these you kind of wish you were an ostrich and could just stick your head in the ground and everyone and everything will go away.....
but alas that is not reality, and we (sadly) are not big birds (though according to most of the brothers in my MSA i am THE "BIG BIRD") and we eventually have to deal with reality.
However i realized one absolutely amazing thing, you CAN NOT be depressed when you are in the company of the most beautiful people (and i jus dont mean superfically, though that is also true:) Subhan'Allah for the past couple of days I have spent countless hours with the most amazing girls in the whole world masha'Allah, i think i could sit and listen to each of them tell me their whole life story five times, and still not get bored.
but u know what STINKS, one is moving to paki-land for good, four are graduating, and one is an alumnus :( oh well they shall remain in my duas n heart forever n ever :)

food and marriage..

Today nadia, aqsa, maimuna and i sat around in the IC and talked about.....marriage and food....::GASP GASP::
lol true true...we do ALWAYS talk about the two topics...maybe 80 percent of the time we're together, but still, each and every time this conversation lasts for hours. I don't know what it is about marriage and food that can just keep girls talking for ages...
well i guess nadia tries to give us a reality check each time she talks to us about marriage, but alhamdulilah her marriage seems to be such a blessed one that you can't help but smile :) ...
however today we talked about the ills of having in-law's that have no fashion sense...all you people that are married, or have had loved ones that are married know what im talking about!
i can just imagine...me and mas sit around for hours planning out our ideal wedding......and our ideal ring :) Now imagine if your mother in law rolled up on the day of your engagement with a big fat GOLD ring...u know the fobby kind...i think id cry...
okay i come across sounding MAD superficial...but i actually dont think i really am all that superficial...its just a girl thing i guess..you expect a rock when you get engaged...but whatever, alhamdulilah i think if you got the right person no need to complain, a ring is just a ring.......right???
anyway yes...somehow our conversation drifted to food...and our complete and utter love for it...yes, i admit it, i am an ultimate fatty fatty fatso....but so what...i can't help it, alhamdulilah Allah subhana wa ta ala has created food for us to eat right, so why deny it? lol...worry not...we went on to talk about how we shouldn't eat as much as we do...and how we definately have to get off our butts and start working out...
so...here it is, in writing, i will try n not be such a fatty fatty fatso... :)
