Love <3

Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullah,

Yesterday one of my friends and I were taking a walk and discussing various issues we were dealing with, and we landed on the issue of the heart, and subhan'Allah we started talking about the condition of the heart. Shaykh Zulfiqar says in Love for Allah,

"The human body is composed of limbs and organs, each with a unique trait seeing is the trait of the eye; listening is the trait of the ear; and smelling is the trait of the nose. Similarly, loving is the trait of the heart, the heart is always in love with someone."

Be it with a stone, God, or anyone else,
There comes not tranquility without loving.
The heart is the ocean of love; love is its act,
Guard it a thousand ways; it will still fall in love.
At that point in time we were not discussing our inherent love for Allah, but our love for other things and people, and subhan'Allah we discussed that no matter how hard you try, your heart is always inclined towards someone, and often times the brain and it's rationality are overshadowed by the heart and its love. It is amazing how many times we will abandon everything simply due to an inclination of the heart. However the greatest task is to focus the heart on the ultimate love, that of Allah subhana wa ta ala...
May I forget everything in Your remembrance,
And may I remember not anyone else.
May I forsake unto Thee all dear to my heart,
And may my heart be filled by You.
May I set fire to my joys and happiness,
And may my heart ache for Thee alone.
May I be blinded to all I know,
And may I turn only to Thee and none other.
Wassalamualaikum wa Rahmatullah.

Subhan'Allah- Some of my favorite hadith

Allah will say to the inhabitants of Paradise: O inhabitants of Paradise! They will say: O our Lord, we present ourselves and are at Your pleasure, and goodness rests in Your hands. Then He will say: Are you contented? And they will say: And how should we not be contented, O Lord, when You have given to us that which You have given to no one else of Your creation? Then He will say: Would not like Me to give you something better than that? And they will say: O Lord and what thing is better than that? And He will say: I shall cause My favour to descend upon you and thereafter shall never be displeased with you.
- From the Forty Sacred Hadith. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim and at-Tirmidhi).

Subhan'Allah I don't think there can be a single thing more valuable in our lives then this favor...

Hadith Qudsi 24- If Allah has loved a servant [of His] He calls Gabriel (on whom be peace) and says: I love So-and-so, therefore love him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: So Gabriel loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in heaven, saying: Allah loves So-and-so, therefore love him. And the inhabitants of heaven love him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: Then acceptance is established for him on earth. And if Allah has abhorred a servant [of His], He calls Gabriel and says: I abhor So-and-so, therefore abhor him. So Gabriel abhors him. Then Gabriel calls out to the inhabitants of heaven: Allah abhors So-and-so, therefore abhor him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: So they abhor him, and abhorrence is established for him on earth.

Anas reports: A man asked the Prophet about the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment) saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Prophet said, "What have you prepared for it?" The man said, "Nothing, except that I love Allah and His Apostle. " The Prophet said, "You will be with those whom you love." We had never been so glad as we were on hearing that saying of the Prophet (i.e., "You will be with those whom you love.") Therefore, I love the Prophet , Abu Bakr and 'Umar, and I hope that I will be with them because of my love for them though my deeds are not similar to theirs.

Abu Hurayra said that the Messenger of Allah said, "Those in my community with the strongest love for me are the people who will come after me. Some of them would give their family and wealth to have seen me." (Muslim and al-Bukhari)

It is related that once 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar's foot went numb. He was told, "Remember the most beloved of people to you and it will go away!" He shouted, "O Muhammad!" and the feeling returned.

Hadith Qudsi 36- The believers will gather together on the Day of Resurrection and will say: Should we not ask [someone] to intercede for us with our Lord? So they will come to Adam and will say: You are the Father of mankind; Allah created you with His hand He made His angels bow down to you and He taught you the names of everything, so intercede for us with you Lord so that He may give us relief form this place where we are. And he will say: I am not in a position [to do that] - and he will mention his wrongdoing and will feel ashamed and will say: Go to Noah, for he is the first messenger that Allah sent to the inhabitants of the earth. So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that] - and he will mention his having requested something of his Lord about which he had no [proper] knowledge (Quran Chapter 11 Verses 45-46), and he will feel ashamed and will say: Go to the Friend of the Merciful (Abraham). So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that]. Go to Moses, a servant to whom Allah talked and to whom He gave the Torah. So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that] - and he will mention the talking of a life other that for a life (Quran Chapter 28 Verses 15-16), and he will fell ashamed in the sight of his Lord and will say: Go to Jesus, Allah's servant and messenger, Allah's word and spirit. So they will come to him and he will say: I am not in a position [to do that]. Go to Muhammad (may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), a servant to whom Allah has forgiven all his wrongdoing, past and future. So they will come to me and I shall set forth to ask permission to come to my Lord, and permission will be given, and when I shall see my Lord I shall prostrate myself. He will leave me thus for such time as it pleases Him, and then it will be said [to me]: Raise your head. Ask and it will be granted. Speak and it will be heard. Intercede and your intercession will be accepted. So I shall raise my head and praise Him with a form of praise that He will teach me. Then I shall intercede and HE will set me a limit [as to the number of people], so I shall admit them into Paradise. Then I shall return to Him, and when I shall see my Lord [I shall bow down] as before. Then I shall intercede and He will set me a limit [as to the number of people]. So I shall admit them into Paradise. Then I shall return for a third time, then a fourth, and I shall say: There remains in Hell-fire only those whom the Quran has confined and who must be there for eternity. There shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: There is no god but Allah and who has in his heart goodness weighing a barley-corn; then there shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: There is no god but Allah and who has in his heart goodness weighing a grain of wheat; then there shall come out of Hell-fire he who has said: There is no god but Allah and who has in his heart goodness weighing an atom.

Subhan'Allah.

Allahumma sali'ala sayyiddina Muhammadin wa 'ala alay sayyiddina Muhammadin wa barik wa salim.

Confused face...

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah,

So its one o'clock in the morning, and I have just returned from a friend's graduation party. I am currently seated at my friend's computer and am accompanied by yet another friend- Veiled knight (alhamdulilah :)). So...yes.

Anyway...we just got into a mini argument on how YOU aren't supposed to be reading this...YES YOU. This post is only for my veiled knight and certain other special individuals. I guess that kind of defeats the purpose of posting a blog online. lalalalalalala...

Yes, as you can see my brain does not quite follow anything that I begin upon, and my posts mean absolutely nothing.

Back to the original thought. Which I have forgotten but I will continue on yet another thought, countless countless other thoughts...I am actually quite ADD, and I may say that I will continue a thought and I never do. Apparently according to Veiled Knight I sound like a psychotic girl with a lot of problems, but the reason for that is that I usually only post when I am quite upset/psycho so I apologize if you really do think I am crazy.

Um...back to the original thought...or the modified original thought...
wait i've been told "shut up and end the post", I would do that, but then this would just be a useless post. Alas, most of my posts are useless...

Okay...anyway the point of the confused face is that I am confused. Not just about this post, though that is also true, but about life.

Confused?
Yes so am I :)

lol

forgive me, my friends have a very funny effect on me :) :) :)

Navigation System

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah,

Yesterday I spent the day reading Love for Allah (again), and listening to two talks by Shaykh Husain, Firmness on the Path and Blessings of Our Teachers, and I think that was the best spent time I have had in quite a while.

Subhan'Allah its funny how as human beings we need constant reminders of things that we may already know. Like its obvious that we should love Allah, that we should stay firm on one path, and that our teachers are absolutely amazing, yet subhan'Allah its within our nature to forget these things, and when we stumble upon these gems over and over again it is as if we learn it for the same time, time after time.

Sometimes when I am reading or listening to these amazing words, I tell myself that I will never ever forget the lesson I have learned, yet weeks later, here I am back in the same spot. It is kind of frustrating, and I guess the solution is to just become more regular in my schedule and learning, and, as Shaykh Husain says in Firmness on the Path, to stick to one aspect of learning (ie Arabic, Hadith, Tafsir) and get it down cold, and then move on, instead of jumping all over the place. Sigh, I guess thats what our teachers are there for, the navigation system for life :)

Allahu Alim.

wassalamualaikum wa rahmatullah.
