Eid Mubarak :) and my new 'services'

assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah,

EID MUBARAK!

and in other news:

So after talking to many individuals and hearing the all too similar story about marriage and how they want to/their parents want them to/they need to follow the sunnah etc. yet have failed to find a suitable match, I have taken it upon myself to personally search out, or matchmake for my peers. Now now, don't laugh. It's true that I myself am not married, but i think that in no way should inhibit the process. The only awkward situations arise when the sister or her parents ask me, "if this guy is so great why don't you marry him", or my parents favorite line, "why do you hook up others before yourself". Apparently many of our parents' generation don't believe in a simple concept known as "compatibility" . My dad believes that any girl and any guy can marry if they compromise enough....i disagree :)

I have jump started the process and have currently attempted 3 matches (full fledge) and have some others up my sleeve. Any success? Well we'll have to wait and see inshaAllah :)

Anyway I ask for your duas, and any resources you may have. In fact we can pool our resources and help create a happy ummah :)!

Untiil then :),

Wassalamualaikum wa rahmatullah.

Goodbye Ramadan......

assalamualaikum wa rahmatullah..

So here we are in the last days of this blessed month, and somehow despite having the entire month to reap the benefits of, we sit here and wonder, once again, how time has just slipped through our finger tips. Its true, some of us have shed a lot of our old habits and have exchanged them for hours spent in remembring our Beloved. But it is in this month that we realize that despite the countless hours we may spend in His worship, it is never enough. We leave our salah wanting to stay in sujood just a little longer, we close our Qurans knowing that the it holds more wisdom than any other book can, and we end this month knowing that there is none other like it. As much as we would wish for Ramadan to stay, just a little bit longer, we realize that if every month were Ramadan it would be in our feeble nature to forget its greatness. So instead our hearts just long for Him, knowing that when this month ends we can stay on this path that we have treaded for the past weeks, yet knowing that without the abundant blessings and mercy that are prevelant in this month we might, just once again get lost.

So here we are at a loss of words. We head to the masjid day after day and notice the beauty of the jamaat, the beauty of the Quran, the beauty of the adhaan, and the perfection of Islam.

So here we are in the middle of the night. We see night not as a time to sleep, but a time where the rest of the world is asleep and at rest, and our hearts are alive, and our tongues moist.

So here we are in the last days of this blessed month. Bid it farewell in the sweetest of ways. If you knew that one of your most favored guests were leaving in a couple of days, you would spend every fleeting moment with them, attempting to create memories that would last far beyond the visit. In the same way, bid Ramadan farewell in the sweetest of ways, because this blessing just might not come again.

with your duas,
wassalamualaikum wa rahmatullah.
